Order Placed!!!
Nailed a solid deal on my next BMW F80. Super stripped and exactly what I want. Silverstone Carbon Cloth 6MT 18s Black kindney/spoiler I am on the fence about the suspension though. Doing research on the active VS passive/standard. I am leaning toward the standard as that implies less electronics for more reliable long term ownership... Fell in love with this car at the M School in SC, and after years of waiting and being patient, get to take ownership. Track, auto-X, daily driving, errands, and kid/family hauling all in a German bruiser!

Are you at 112 status?
Silverstone production is ending for F80. If you aren't 112 you should stay on top of it. Could possibly go 105. Also, I see your point about the EDC... but it's standard now and IMO worth its weight in gold unless you plan on doing suspension modifications. If not, for the all around purposes you mentioned I'd go for it. |

Thanks for the feedback all.
When is the color line supposed to be ending?! I love the color and it is classy, sharp, and packs a subtle flair... Damn. Do you know what the time line looks like for orders? I literally just agreed to a deal today so I want to get this locked in especially if the color line is going. Damn. I am leaning to keeping it adaptive since it is a standard option, and fits the total bill as you mentioned. Regarding the CP, I was thinking about it, but decided to opt out of it as I want the 18s for all weather and daily driving and the roads blow around here. It also pushed the bank a little too hard, and we want to stay within a certain budget. I am happy regardless, but there is some sweet stuff on there, namely the suspension and remapping. If those were a la carte, I would have considered. Seats also look good.

No telling for certain if you're getting SS without status 112. If you go to 105 you won't be able to get it. When your order is submitted (assuming dealer has allocation) you will know. If you go Status 047 there is no allocation so your production could be pushed back. Your current build is essentially the same as mine less the 18s so I have to commend you on good taste |

Thanks all! And thank you for the SS information.
Spoke to my CA today and she mentioned that the build is a March slot and it is being submitted tomorrow. I will ask her about the status code. God forbid the color goes south, I am on the fence between white (always had white, iS was white) or black. Black look awesome but kills that awesome roof contrast. White is well, I have always had it... Hopefully I do not have to switch it up. Can you elaborate on the coding as well? I am assuming there is accepted, rejected, and delayed...? This is all super useful and makes me realize how much I missed the BMW family.

Also a shout to Rachel and Passport BMW in Suitland, MD for a low pressure and awesome buying experience. No pressure and full transparency.
She also is a gear head and M3 owner, so you can't go wrong.

The 513m is a gem wheel. I couldn't resist the devils hand (666m) or zcp... I had to buy 640m wheels for winter. You can get away with putting 255/40/18 winters on your wheels.
I will tell you the 18s ride better but A LOT is in dampening.. Comfort mode make more of a difference than tire size. I was surprised to find 20s are not as harsh as expected. Still 18s "OG" pack is underrated. Was planning to do AW/cloth 18s stripper. Kinda wish I did but didn't get to see CSAT in person. I ended up with AW/blk extended, ZCP, CarPlay. Thats it.. Lucked out and got zec pack icon headlights free.. if you heard about that debacle So, Congrats! Hope your SS flips into 150!

Yeh, it would have been really hard to do if the OG options were available on the F87, but with falling in love with the car at the M School, getting the OG options, and a good deal, it was a no brainer. Plus the need for four doors and the classic Three Series sedan formula. Man. Yeh, I am going to call my CA today at my dealer to see what the deal is with the color coding. I will probably go MW if I have to change it up. Had AW on my iS and it was great, but ready for a change since I have only ever had white cars. And MW is not really a change... but it kind of is.. Great build on your end. Still figuring out if it makes sense to do Adaptive... I am learning towards and worst happens, I don't much around with it that much save for the track/AX, but a few have mentioned with the old school build I put together, the standard sport suspension might make more sense since I want to keep the input as consistent and analogue as possible... Uhhh...

My iS was delayed for a month because of the German working break that lasts three weeks (IIRC). It was crappy! But if that means a quality beast, they can take the time they need. So far, they have been saying it will go into production mid-March and could be expected late APR, early MAY. STOKED and awesome joining the club and rejoining the BMW enthusiast family.
