Mirror Not Folding Upon Locking
Hi all, I’ve coded my mirrors to fold automatically upon lock. The driver’s side folds every time, however the passenger only seems to fold 50% of the time. It starts to fold but only does it slightly. Any ideas?

bad mirror motor possibly? Do you hear the motor noise still trying to fold the mirror when it stops? Maybe something is binding and preventing it from closing all the way.

Make sure you code the time to be 0 seconds after lock to fold.

I’m suspecting theres a link between the auto fold and having the mirror dip on reverse set to off. As an experiment, I’ve now deactivated the dip on reverse with BimmerCode and put the switch back to the dip mode. So far, the mirrors seem to have folded 100% of the time. I don’t like the dip function to be honest, so it suits me.
It’s all a bit of an odd one but mirror fold is much more useful than mirror dip to me so I’m happy. I’ll give it a few months like this, then revert to standard and see how it goes. If there’s still an issue, i’ll Take it in to get looked at, but with the comfort delay switched back to the standard delay. |
