Metal Tyre Valve caps

Has anyone had the problem of their metal caps being stuck to the TPMS and not being able to unscrew them off?
I have this problem and not sure what to do?
Any suggestions before contemplating having to change all four TPMS

Garage List
Heat the metal cap up so the metal expands a little bit to loosen up.

Metal Valve Caps

As already mentioned, try heating them slightly then carefully use grips to release them, carefully working the valve backwards and forwards. Do not force the cap otherwise you run the risk of stripping the threads.
Also spray WD40 or similar release agent onto them and then soak a small strip of cloth with same agent and tie it around the valve, leaving it overnight if possible as this will keep the agent in contact with the valve, allowing the corrosion to soak/wick it up and soften the rust.
When fitting them smear a very small amount of copper grease or similar onto the threads of both the valve and cap, making sure to clean any excess off.
If all else fails, CAREFULLY use a Dremel or similar and VERY, VERY CAREFULLY just run a VERY SHALLOW cut up the valve cap in a couple of places, but take care not to cut into the main valve body.
Please let us know how it went.
Hope this helps .

Unless I'm wrong, you should only need to order new valve stems for the TPMS. (much less expensive than complete units...)

Actual TPMS wheel module, screws onto the special valvestems. (at lease this was the case with wheels on my older BMW's)

Still a lot of work to replace though, due to removal of tires.
Seems like all the TPMS valve stems I have dealt with, have had corrosion problems (winter and salt conditions), so I put some light grease on the treads these days.
