there is no OE alcantara trim, so the seller most likely wrapped a piece of OE trim himself. that being said its most likely cheaper to have someone wrap the trim pieces you already have in alcantara instead of buying more pieces. there should be a few vendors on here that do it, i remember years ago i was thinking of having a vendor on here wrap my trim in fox red leather because my OEM carbon fiber one warped big time

Wow. Thanks for that. I realized you're correct as the seller misspelled "factory" in the description.

I would also consider doing this myself, not hard to do. Picking the correct material is key though.

I've seen alcantra wrapped trim in person. Was not a fan, just didn't look right. The oem carbon leather trim always looks awesome, really adds a sportiness without looking cheap. I switched from aluminum which wasn't bad, but the carbon looks way better. Black interior on mine.

On two cars I've gotten the interior painted in matte paint matching the car. I think it looks spectacular and is very durable
On the third one I've wrapped it in the same color as the car. I think it looks really, really good as well but inevitably will be less durable One car is in Barcelona so I don't have pics. The car is Topasplau as is the interior which just looks spectacular. Matte finish so it doesn't reflect too much light On my Montecarlo Blue M3 in the US I got the interior painted in the same color by IND, again in a matte finish car interior Finally the one that's wrapped car interior |

SYT_Shadow those both look good. My car is space gray with Palladium silver extended so I think the gray would look a bit off.
I'd really like a matte carbon fiber, the OEM looks too shiny for my taste (and is $1000 used) Last edited by Silverstoneorspacegray; 01-10-2018 at 12:50 PM.. |

That's definitely true, if the interior is not black then it's too flashy. In my case it provides some spunk to the interior
