If you want a pure GT cruiser that is beautiful, S5...if you want a car that offers tunability and can offer great straightline acceleration at a payment less than half of the M3, 335...

That said...neither of those will offer you what the M can, practicality, performance on par with a 997S, and the best V8 this side of a 430...

Good Luck...

From the looks of it, you can't drive manual.

Learn and get a manual M3 coupe.

If money is no object, I would get the M3.

If your budget is tighter, then the 335 will definately give you a good bang for the buck.

You have a big decison but it can be solved with driving each one. My brother-in-law took delivery on his Black S5 with only the B&0 stereo upgrade. I bought the M3 sedan with only silverstone metallic paint. With my healthy discount and his car at MSRP, we were within $275 dollars of each other. I drove the S5 extensively and it is beautiful. It has a great cockpit and the lines of the big and WIDE S5 are fantastic. It makes great noises and has a firm but comfortable ride. The M3 is much much different. It is much more nimble and responsive. It literally jumps with the POWER button engaged. I just had 1st service today and the ride back to Chicago from the Burbs was quite exciting. I actually (pathetic) got goosebumps when I opened it up on the highway.
