Worth adding 4 zone + rear seat heating for resale?

Hi,

Just purchased a m50d with almost all options (list below) - I left out the 4 zone AC and rear seat heating as we're a family of 3 (one toddler) and almost never take anyone in the back.

However I'm wondering if leaving out these options is a bad idea from a resale point of view considering that the car is almost fully optioned and buyers looking for a fully optioned car may overlook it because these 2 are missing. Does anyone think these options would be worth adding in my case, either because they could have some value for us or just for resale value?

I also purchased a fully loaded 50d minus the 4 zone, as I never have more than two people in the car.
As far as resale this is something that won't be affected when you decide to sell.
My stealer had said out of all options to help the resale value, the third row seats were the most cost effective - even though I opted for these never use them.

The four zone appears to hinder cooling per US owners in hot climates. I agree with the comment above in regards to little affect to resell value.

Oh wow, I thought it was the exact opposite i.e. 4-zone makes cooling more efficient due to additional blowers in B columns. Can anyone confirm?

4 zone adds also additional vents in the middle pillars and the climate vents in the front are litten up. Resale wise i do not think it matters much but i would like to have those additional vents in the pillars. Had 4 zone in my E71 wife never used it as she did not want cold air blowing too close to the kids.

In the front you have 4 visible vents. Two in the middle next to each other where the emergency blinker is. On the far left and far right there are vents as well (i meant those are litten up). Why those vents are lit up with 4 zone and what is the logic behind it have no clue. I asked a dealer once and he told me you pay more and get additional features

I am same as you. 3 family members.
However, I am the only one who drive it most of time. Only I take my daughter and wife on weekends when we go someplace together.
Weekdays or other time, my wife drives her car.
So I don't have any problem without 4 zone control and even I have rear heated seat, we never used it. And I am from SOCAL.

In my case it was included with the 50i but had it in my 2011 35i as I have family with me. I did pass on rear seat entertainment as I rather my son take in the sights on trips.

My vents are not lit up with my 4 zone climate package, but the wheel that you use to open and close the vents are lit up! I was very impressed when I saw this, as this is something Mercedes used to do in the mid 80's to early 90's when they still built tanks that lasted forever.

While I think the HVAC in my 2017 35d is sub-par in terms of cooling, the heating is lighting fast..and I am impressed with the illuminated vent wheels.

0358 AIR CONDITIONING WINDSHIELD!!! What is this, and why does my hot climate version car not have this?! This is the worst part of USA F15 X5s! In the summer, or just high heat...the windshield gets so hot and stays so hot, the AC just cannot cool the cabin down.

Had to be more specific, sorry. I looked at it today the blue red vent wheels are lit up (in the very mid of dash) but white wheel vents on the sides are not. With 4 zone they are.
