Drove a CP and it felt no different than my *modded* non-CP
So got to drive a 17 Competition package car. Never driven one and my car was modded almost from day 1. Coming from my JB4 Civic M3 with GTS coding I found the CP to ride much harsher and certainly less friendly for street (I have 265/295 MPSS). The damping seemed much more compliant on my non CP car. Straight line was no contest with my tuned car on a diff planet. Traction was way better in my car and with the CP having the OEM super intrusive MDM mode it intervened super early. And the steering with GTS coding and EDC/DCT/MDM make a huge difference. Just very eye opening.

That's weird, I've heard people say it's more compliant on the road while being stiffer at the same time. Exhaust is worth the cost on it's own imo.

So you're saying that your after-market modded M is similar or better the the factory modded M? and both are therefore better than the civic m?
Seems like a positive review of CP then? (excluding the ride)? |

Or maybe you expect too much?
I never really understand why threads like these pop up. Everyone's expectation for cars are different. If you don't see anything different then... okay? Have you been in a 2015 F8x and driven a current F8x w/ CP? Aside from that I would point out you have two Porsches, one of which is a GT3 RS. Which would dilute your opinions some what. I would take what you said with a huge grain of salt especially what you have in your garage.

Or since I have 1000's of miles on Sebring, PBIR, and Homestead driving many many diff performance cars maybe not take it with a grain of salt. I did drive a 2015 before I bought my 17. I found the damping and power delivery to be very diff to my 17.

So you're comparing a modded car vs a stock car and surprised the stock car isn't better...??

And this comparison doesn't make sense at all! you're not comparing the competition package M4 to the standard M4, but a modded one, what if j00 put those same mods on that competition package M4, then we have a fair fight. |

If you are going to compare something, compare it stock to stock.
Just because you have driven other cars before is exactly my point. You expect things, like all reviewers bias is there if you realize it or not. Unless you are a professional driver that can explain it in detail as to why you don't feel any difference, I still tell everyone reading this thread to take what you said with a grain of salt. I'll say again, I don't understand why people start these threads for. I'll challenge you to fully explain why you don't feel a difference in detail instead of just going by "feel". Anyone can say something, base it on facts please.

C'mon. At least 1/2 (and probably more) of the posts about CP simply say shit like "way better" "totally changed the car" "enough said" or other similar brief opinions with no specifics. I don't see an issue with the thread and don't expect OP to start measuring variables to prove his point any more than I expect someone to prove CP exhaust sounds better. It's just an opinion, by definition. He was a bit disappointed. Take it into consideration or don't.
