IND Emblem Install/Pry Kit
I'm ordering a new trunk M3 emblem, and I saw the Install/Pry Kit. My car does not currently have an emblem, but I was wondering what is I the kit, and if it is worth purchasing.
Thanks, Jason |

If you don't have to remove an existing emblem, prepping is going to be easy -- just clean the surface with something like rubbing alcohol and then stick it on.

If you are wondering about a template for the position then I never got one when I got mine. Hopefully a near-to-you fellow M3 owner can help with the measurements.

FWIW, I replaced the M emblem on my trunk because the stripes were faded on the original. Paid <$40 on eBay from a BMW dealer, had both the "M" logo and the "3" within a couple days.
Watched a YouTube video on removing emblems with dental floss -- it worked perfectly. Then scraped off the remaining adhesive with my fingernail. Easy-peasy. Stuck the new emblem on and was done. Total time maybe 20 minutes.
