M2/M3/M4 used Pagid race/track front brake pads, with 1/2 in (16/32nd, while new is 17.5/32nd) thickness on each pad, 4 total.

For those of you interested in upgrading your stock brake pads to something more suitable to the track. The material is Pagid RS29, a very common material in the endurance and club racing community. As race pads go, it's a good combination of friction level, modulation, pad life and rotor friendliness.
