Love my M3 but... (yet another noise, vibration, harshness complaint)
Every bump makes the car sound like it's going to fall apart! For a 6 month $80k car that's just unacceptable and embarrassing..

I love it makes it feel like a race car, that is what M is all about.

The car is poorly dampened, indeed. One minor complaint I have with this car.
Most people hate on this car for sounding bad and having poor steering feel (both I think are fine) but IMO my biggest complaint I have in the car is the dampening. BMW could have done better. Adaptive suspension helps though. |

Get an M4. It feels a bit more solid without the extra doors.

+Bazillions... I have my suspension in Sport+ most of the time. Shit - if you need a more compliant ride and Comfort is too harsh for you, then I believe you're now old enough for a Mercedes. Congratulations Grandpa!

Either mine's not as bad, the MPE masks all the noises, or I just don't mind it.

You should have gotten a regular 3 series and not the M3. M3/M4 have very harsh rides and I love mine. It's actually why I drive M cars.

I do agree that my M3 sounds like a bucket of crispy fried chicken bouncing around on less than perfect roads...for $80k they really should put more thought into assembling the dash trim in a manner with which to avoid excessive rattles... it's sad when I can go out and buy a Honda Accord that wouldn't rattle if I jumped over the Grand Canyon and landed in a pile of boulders... lol. Before anyone reminds me that the Honda doesn't rise on 20" low profile tires, it still wouldn't make a difference.
