Wheel Adapters 5x120 to 5x114.3

First post, looking for some reassurance.

Just got a 128i back in March and I have a wheel/tire combo on my previous vehicle which is a Nissan. I'm hoping I'll be able to use these adapters to put them on but I have a couple of questions.

1. Will the adapters work with the wheel bolts vs. studs/lugnuts? I've never had a vehicle that uses the bolts.

2. I've looked endlessly but can't find any adapters less than 1" thick, which worries me since the wheels are 18x8.5 +35. Anyone know of somewhere I can find the correct adapters at 1/2"?

Thanks for any and all help.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no way you are going to fit an 18x8.5 ET35 wheel on an E82 with a 1" wheel adapter. You'd have trouble with the wheel alone, nevermind the adapter.

The E82 1 series is very restricted in wheel sizes that fit without fender work etc. Stock offsets are ET49 and ET52 front and rear to give you an idea. Do a bit of research here and you'll see what I'm talking about...

I thank you for your input. I am aware of the stock offsets which is why I posed the questions.

My setup will clear the struts and the diameter is only ~8mm more. I'm not worried about them fitting. I'm more worried about the poke (asking about 1/2" adapters) being too much and also the question about using adapters with wheel bolts.

My tires are 235/40 btw...

Yea - the outside/poke is what I would also be concerned about. To illustrate, I have 255/35/18 rears on stock 8.5width ET52 rims, with a 10mm spacer (so less than 1/2"). I had rubbing on the rear fender where it meets the bumper. Granted I have a mild suspension upgrade (~10mm lower than m-sport), but this is not a very aggressive fitment.

The cars just don't have much room....unfortunately.
