Steering Radio Buttons Don't Work
Direct radio controls work, but steering radio buttons don't work. They illuminate, horn, and turn signal, cruise control levers all work. Is it the buttons themselves, maybe wiring. I googled that steering wheel coil spring has to do with this issue? And when replaced it needs to be profesionally programmed in?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated |

I posted a DIY to clean connections/contacts associated with an Airbag/SRS light. It's possible the connections for the steering wheel radio buttons may have the same problem. 1 hour to remove the airbag, steering wheel and clean them. Couldn't hurt.

I'm going to take it apart and see what is what. I'm assuming radio button wire snaps to the coil unit where it transfers the signal through its flat connectors?
I agree, won't hurt to check, and clean the connection contacts, thank you for advise! |
