Gratuitous Pic of M4 For No Reason Whatsoever
Was walking out of the gym, and just love coming back to the M4. Figured it looked so good sitting in the lot that I snapped a pic. That is all.

Looks like a pointless photo and a random place. If only there were a thread for it.
Cool car though.

Sorry, should have checked to see if there was a thread for this. My bad.
Oh, and the front plate is required in Colorado, and the M4 has no built in provision for it. So, I got a front plate mount that uses the front tow hook receptacle so I didn't have to drill into the bumper. I'm not thrilled with the look, but cops pull people over all the time for no front plate so I had no choice. |

I find that the original location is the most discrete place to mount the plate. Sto n Sho is the easiest license plate holder to attach or remove. Best of all, it doesn't look awkward. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1233892 |

I have to agree with you...I didn't realize how bad the plated looked until I took that photo. It looks terrible. I have to do something about that.
I'll check out the link...that may be the way to go. |

It's not high enough on the bumper to cause any issues with reflections. It had to be mounted that high to avoid interfering with the parking sensors. So all in all, not a good solution.
I'll take a bunch of pics of the car and post them up. It came with most of the available M Performance parts already installed and included in the MSRP. It has the carbon fiber front lip, M Performance exhaust with carbon fiber tips, carbon fiber rear spoiler, and all carbon fiber in the interior. That in addition to most options available for the M4, including competition package, etc. Only has 250 miles on it so far. Now to get the license plate situation remedied....why didn't BMW put a front plate mounting option on the car? |

OP is that a US Millworks plate? I was planning to get one for my E92 and later when I get my F80. I personally like the off-center look but I didn't realize how much higher above the belt line the license plate sits on the F80/F82. If you go to their website, the E92 M3 and F30 plates sit much lower but for whatever reason the F8X sits too high which sort of ruins the look. Let us know how you like the sto n sho.

Mpunk,
Yes, that is the US Millworks plate. It's a high quality unit, but it has to be installed upside down on the M4, due to interference with the parking sensors. I also found that it is difficult to get the plate lined up more level with the lines of the bumper due to the curvature of the bumper itself. It's also not a real quick release solution either, since the two cotter pins that are used to secure the plate to the bracket are really hard to remove because the plate is so close to the profile of the bumper in that location. |

No worries, I really hadn't taken any pictures of the car or really noticed it until I posted that one up. I would have had to do something about it anyway after seeing it. Cheers!

In case some of you are interested in some of the M Performance parts, here are a few pics of them on the car. Also a couple of the carbon fiber trim pieces on the interior. Just snapped a few while the car was in the garage, so not the best but you get the idea.
