Feeler: 2008 E90 6sp M3 Houston
Time has come to buy another house and the M3 has to go. First things firsts, this is a 2 owner, "clean" car fax(more on this later), HIGH MILEAGE (230K mile) above average condition E90. The engine runs great, I'm pretty sure it was replaced previously. Alpine flashed ECU(thanks Alex!), CNT exhaust, test pipes, k&n drop in, etc. Recently, there was a post for a blown engine E9X, M3 for $15-$16k?, what is fair street pricing (I'm aware of KBB price) for mine? If you're looking to troll or tire kick or say it's worth less due to you're available funds, move on. I'm looking for honest, informed, enthusiast input. I will posting more details in a bit. Nice car. It's still an M not matter how many miles. When your driving it people don't roll down their windows and say " how many miles are on it? "

I would say that anyone truly looking to buy this without the intention of stripping it for a track build would only do so if you were able to provide details on how many miles are on the new engine, who installed it, and at what mileage certain maintenance items were performed. If all that information is unknown/unverifiable, I don't think anyone would buy it unless it were priced at a steal, $15K and below. Price could probably go upwards towards $18K if you could show documentation of replacement for the engine, transmission, suspension, electronics, etc.
I think your best bet, unless you absolutely need to sell, would be just to keep it and drive it. Keep in mind that M3's with a little over 1/3 the mileage of your's are regularly selling for $20K-25K It looks very healthy cosemetically inside and out for a 230K mileage vehicle from the pictures you've posted, good job taking care of her! Best of luck. |

6spd, fox red, alpine white, pretty clean. Will easily sell for 16-18K. If you wanted to, you can find a used engine now for like 8k. To be honest this would be a steal.

I don't have room for the car right now but I still want to stay updated on what happens.
