Fabworx c@tless dp w/ Eisenmann sport mufflers

Hey guys... just wanted to post up some pics and a video of an install I did yesterday on one of our fellow forum members car

DP to be installed: Fabworx

Cons: Fit was slightly off in a few areas (lower 02 sensor bugs are positioned way lower than stock position which gives hardly any slack to the cable once you plug it in, upper 02 sensors sit slightly sunken in which doesn't allow you to install the heat gaskets, passenger side dp bracket was slightly off, driver side dp didn't mate perfectly flush with the turbo) which made install time a bit longer but with a few adjustments I was able to get them to fit with no exhaust leaks.

Pros: Car sounds and performs great!

On to the fun stuff...

Driveway mechanical technician for now with a few years of experience under my belt working at a local Bmw dealership.

In the process of removing a blown wavetrac diff on a 680hp 335 here in Downey as I type...

That's very disappointing, I was looking forward to buying those and putting them on this winter. In spite of the bad fit, I hope they're able to work for you? I thought the way he described the Fabworx DPs was bad enough, and was waiting for a glowing report on RK.

My boy wanted it so i ordered from a member here

Dp is no problem on fitment we all use fabworx Dp
The fitment is Perfect!!!!!!! And quality is excellent

It will sound crazy as i will take the valves that open and close off so this will sound better than the Race Exhaust and to top it off with fabworx dp. It will sound really Insane!!!!!

I have full Fabworx 3.5" custom made exhaust no bends like Eisenmann but totally different sound also. The Eisenmann has a deep sound which i love this will be perfect for 700hp car.

If you use a magnifying glass on post #10 I think you'll see the lower O2 bung in the proper location. I'm also concerned with the sunken level of the upper O2 bungs not allowing the heat gasket installation. Did he manage to get his gasket installed on his car?

I wonder if Fabworx did as a few other DP makers did in the early versions of the DPs and put those lower O2 bungs in the easier straight section of pipe? With all the heat in that 'hotV' part of the engine, I don't want any wiring routed other than the stock location. That's the reason I definitely also want the heat gaskets for the upper O2 bungs in place. They are very close to the DMEs and I don't want more radiant heat on the DMEs from openings in the heat shielding. Adding to that, if the lower O2 bungs are not in the stock location, aren't those openings in the heat shielding allowing even more heat out under the DMEs?

Working on a a 335i stage 3 fuel pump upgrade as I type but when I get home later today I'll post pics of the RK dp install so you guys can see how the upper o2 sensors are sunken in just like the fabworx to the point where you wouldn't be able to put the heat shield ring back in.
There's a few pictures floating around for RK with the same issues. Figured they would have fixed that issue

Are you kidding me? we dont "all use fabworx dp". some of us use fabworx cause you can pick them up for $6xx brand new on ebay. Most of us spend the extra penny and pick up a set of AMS.

Fabworx lists these every week for this starting bid and usually there is no bids so u can get them for that price.
