Finally an M3 owner!

Hello all, I can now officially say that I am apart of the F80 family. Last year I obtained a 2013 335i. The car was black with red interior. I treated that car as if it were my baby. I did little modifications like adding lights in the footwells, black kidney grills, and LED Fog lights. I even learned to code feature into the car. I loved the power that the N55 engine produced. But as I looked to upgrade the exhaust and engine power and even the iDrive, I decided that maybe a new car would be the best bet. I wanted more power as well as a nicer interior. Buddies of mine have M4s and M5s. As I am young, I wanted the four door. I went to the local dealer and sat in both the M3 and M4. After much thought, I decided that the M3 was the best bet. I began the search for the perfect vehicle. There it was and it now sits in my garage. The 2017 M3 with Competition, Drivers Assistants, and Executive Packages. As of right now, there are 140 miles and I hope to overcome the break in period in about a month. Hopefully all goes well and i'll update every so often. Feels good to be apart of the F80 family.

Welcome aboard! I purchased my '17 M3 a month ago. Appears to be the best purchase I've made in along while.... Fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint. Lots of good info and friendly enthusiasts here to share your passion with!

Congratulations dude. That car is really sweet!

One tiny quibble with your post: "apart" and "a part" are opposite things. I think you mean "a part".

Looks good! Black was my initial option but decided to go with Mineral White. Is your car a 6MT?

Congratulations!

Congrats on the M3! I noticed that you stated that you were young and wanted a M3. That is kind of weird as most young folks would want the two door M4. Just a thought that had ran through my mind.

I noticed that majority of people have M3 instead of the M4 as well. I wonder if it is just the older crowd and having a family or whatever reason it may be?

I noticed that too, but I assumed he meant that he could use it once he plans on having a family in the near future?

Idk, I'm 26 and I prefer the looks of the sedan, overall. It's also much less assuming.

I am young but my family has had M3s in the past and they were two door convertibles. I hated how you had to pull the seats forward just to get passengers in the back. Another point is many folks in my town have M4s and I believe there are only one or two M3s. I like to be different. But I am loving my choice as of now. I love the look of the M3 and I don't regret my decision!

I am 25 and bought F80, because I prefer the design of the rear, and over all, F80 looks better for me over F82 specially in YAS ZCP

Thanks for the inspiration but from where I live. A F80 cost $164k. Well, u tell me. How much dedication and hardwork I needa put in to own one before Im 30? Lol. Im 28 this year and I gotta work my ass off to add another 'base' Q50 in my garage. That base 2.0 Q50 cost me $60k.

PS: I am working in my dad's company.
