M4 Convertible Tire Pressure
I've got 19" Conti's on my 2016 F83. Nought in in late February. Tire pressure monitor showed 32 psi on all tires. I've never put air in, nor has the dealer. Today, 5 months later, I was showing cold 29.7 on monitors, all tires were showing 29 something. My analog gauges showed 30-30.5 on all tires. I filled them all cold to 33, as the manual says for General street driving for the F83 with 19"tires.
So far I have full confidence in my Tires Pressure monitors, they seem spot on, less than 1 psi variation. Cool that they work so well. |

They will also show wheel TEMPS in real time on the track! (...as well as real time pressures) Of course this is only the wheel barrel/inside air temp, but still!
I noted my TPMS temps were about 240F during my last track day... Outside wheels hotter than inside wheels and fronts hotter than rears... You can also see corresponding pressure changes during track events as well. This is the screen I always leave up on the display when at the track. (HP/Torque sport display is of very little actual value on the track).
