Does any one know- from which date this year BMW X5/X6's will become MY17 cars ??

I have a first week of September 2016 build for my MY17 F85.

So that means that come first week in Sep build - will then give you a car that you take delivery off under the MY17 model name ??

I'm in Australia - would this be a worldwide issue ??

In the USA it will be considered a MY17 F85 with the touch screen NAVI, idrive 5.0, apple car play, wireless charging with a first week of September build. From what I understand the MY17 builds commence the 3rd or 4th week of August (don't quote me on that).

Someone else might be able to chime in on what is labeled a 2017 model in Australia. I know that it varies from region to region.
If your vehicle is being built in September it would be safe to say that you will be getting all of the MY17 upgrades regardless of what year it is labeled.

I think you are right, mine is produced in August and has the newer stuff

When you say "newer stuff" do you mean the screen is different? and the chassis and power are different?

F15/F16 - SOP = July 2016
F85/F86 - SOP = August 2016

Only thing different in 2017 is iDrive 5.0, 4G Modem w/ OTA Map Updates, Apple CarPlay compatibility, TouchScreen for iDrive
