ACS RS going on the car....

Some might say it was inevitable (and they'd probably be right). Booked in for the 27th.

Happy days! Have you heard any feedback regarding their lowering springs for the F80/82?

Worthwhile on a ZCP?

I would have thought they should be fine. Quite a few people running them on MY16 cars so not really that different. Will be a bit stiffer due to ARB and lower profile tyres. I was going to fit the springs then decided I'd only wish I hadn't gone whole hog and got RS so RS it had to be!!

Good stuff Guy. We'll be expecting another vid soon.

So ACS have them sorted for the CP now? I recall you were waiting for them to be ready. In fact, you'll probably be the first in the country on a CP?!!

And what about the missus M235i, does that take a back seat now?

Think I will! Looks like I might be getting a chance to drive the ACS Germany CP M3 they are bringing over to Goodwood as well.

Wife's M235 also still being done - her birthday pressie - but dampers on back order at mo.

So you are getting the whole coil over set like the ACS car? I'm confused? Or just the springs so your adaptive suspension stays intact?

Probably about 30-35mm on front. Rear about 10mm max I suspect as already pretty low.

That is going to look awesome and so aggressive.. Just hope your front splitter survives more than a couple of days...

To be honest mate, I'd got used to it with the 335d. As you can see, it was pretty low -

Just have to be a bit careful over some speed bumps and take ramps at an angle.

I know where you are going with this Dave. As I have already said on Cutters, I like the setup of their M4 which they have continued to develop for UK road setup. So I'm happy to pay a slight premium to not have to faff around sorting. All I want to have to do is adjust bump when going on track.

Re it going wrong, I'll not have the car more than another 4 years absolute max and were anything to go wrong with the dampers, I've no concerns over ACS sorting it - their support over last 3 years has been second to none.

Terry over on F30 section is currently piling on the miles on my old F30 RS set without any trouble at all.

You pays your money, takes your choice
