Can this door ding be fixed?

Someone left a ding in the body line (crease) of my door, with a little paint missing. I have read that these vehicles have aluminum doors, and therefore would be harder to fix.

I sent these pics to a reputable PDR guy, and he said it'll be tough but doable. That still makes me a little bit nervous.

Have any of you had experiences with a dent like this?

The doors on the F15 are not aluminum which makes PDR work easier.

that will be a tough one to make perfect since its right on the crease and missing paint.

Thanks Alan! Huh, I thought I read that they were aluminum. I'm glad I'm wrong!

I guess at this point, I don't want perfection. I know to fix the paint will take some effort and $$$, but I think I might be able to live with it. The dent will bother me, but as long as it's almost all gone, I'll be pretty happy.

Maybe I'll just trade the car in for something I will care a lot less about.

It hurts not only your car but me to just see it in the picture. My best recommendation to you is to just take it to a reputable body shop and let them take care of it. I have been involved in a couple of hit and runs and it's too stressful to take the matter into your own hands. It is not worth the stress.

Someone dinged my car when it was quite new; left an inch long dent plus paint was missing. I used touch up paint, bad idea to cover it. I think it looks worse now, but it's too late.

I guess the only thing we can do do prevent or catch these dumb fu**ers is to install dashcams front and back to make sure to capture their plates to make claims to insurance companies. I have been in 2 hit and runs in parking lots and one of them was my beloved M3. I am telling you I had many sleepless nights.

I had a much bigger ding on that same spot and BMW removed it like nothing happened under ding removal policy on my lease.

It will come out. Dab some touch up with a hobby brush or toothpick and you can probaly deal with it.
