Bavsound

Anybody put Bavsound speakers in their Bimmer? What do you think? Is it worth $1,500 to upgrade? Now hat they are available for the X5M, I have been thinking about replacing the speakers in the Harman Kardon system. I like good sound and have a house full of B&W speakers but don't feel like spending s fortune on new speakers for the X5M that I will likely only have for 3 years. I would be interested in hearing your experiences.

Have both f15 and f85, f15 has a standard system, I've upgraded the subs and it sounds 100 times better!, as far as the f85 I've ordered those and should get them next week, I have b and o in it so I'm not sure how much difference there will be but I'll keep you posted.

I also have the B&O, but checking their website it says that their speaker package is not available yet for the F85/B&O. Interested on how it sounds also...

No speakers, but they do have the subs, I'm gonna try those out see how they do, even though I'm very happy w b&o. I don't think I would change the speakers, but the subs worth trying, worst case I'll send them back if the difference will be minimal

Please let us know if you are satisfied.

I want to try the subs for my HK before I change the speakers... I'm more inclined to thing mid-bass and bass are a bigger problem than anything else in this car.

Do the seats have to come out to swap the subs?

Never mind, just checked out the site

I'm gonna be honest with you, I've read half a dozen reviews "what's the best settings" the answer there is none, everyone has his own preference on how they like their music, mine for example is set bass at full and treble and full as fas as the equalizer I'll snap a pic later on and post it

Well I've got my order from bavsound, and I'm speechless! Well in a very bad way for a company like bavsound I'd expect their products go thru some what of a QA prior shipping them out, so both the sub replacements for my b&o are defective! Even though I called them and they issued $50 credit and overnight ship for a new pair it's just not something I'd expect from them. It's a pain to remove all the bolts and get the sub out to find out that both brand new subs are defective.

Yeah, my settings are all over the place whether I am blu tooth or wired with lossless recordings. There is just too much processing with this new setup. Running the center speaker sounded better in my '13, in the '16. It sounds like a mono setup when its on. I want real HiFi, not a theater setup in my ride. Its works, but I be damned if the stock Alpine setup in my Jeep wrangler won't give this new HK a run for its money. The bass in the Jeep stomps the H/K for sure

Good luck! My new set should be in tomorrow also we shall see how it does, run a test before install and securing everything in place it's a pain installing and uninstalling multiple times. Push up and down on the sub making sure the coil doesn't rub on anything if there is any sound and it doesn't go smoothly you need to replace them. Good luck

I don't have hk in my f85, but I do have the regular system in the f15, I've changed the subs and I feel like it sounds much better just by doing so. I'm very happy when the the b&o in my f85 thou

Is the BAV Ghost Subs worth it when paired with the B&O? I'm on the fence right now...

Installed the Ghost Subs on Monday. I am happy to say that for the money, the improvement is significant and completely worth it. Much better imaging... and the bass and mids are now actually there.

The install was pretty simple and straight forward once you get the seat rail caps off. It's even easier than the install video on the M4. Took me less than an hour for both.

I highly recommend them if you want more from your HK system. I certainly did.
