Bavsound
Anybody put Bavsound speakers in their Bimmer? What do you think? Is it worth $1,500 to upgrade? Now hat they are available for the X5M, I have been thinking about replacing the speakers in the Harman Kardon system. I like good sound and have a house full of B&W speakers but don't feel like spending s fortune on new speakers for the X5M that I will likely only have for 3 years. I would be interested in hearing your experiences.

Just to confirm, you have an F15/F85/F86 with HK?

I also have the B&O, but checking their website it says that their speaker package is not available yet for the F85/B&O. Interested on how it sounds also...

I want to try the subs for my HK before I change the speakers... I'm more inclined to thing mid-bass and bass are a bigger problem than anything else in this car. |

Well I've got my order from bavsound, and I'm speechless! Well in a very bad way for a company like bavsound I'd expect their products go thru some what of a QA prior shipping them out, so both the sub replacements for my b&o are defective! Even though I called them and they issued $50 credit and overnight ship for a new pair it's just not something I'd expect from them. It's a pain to remove all the bolts and get the sub out to find out that both brand new subs are defective.

Is the BAV Ghost Subs worth it when paired with the B&O? I'm on the fence right now...

Installed the Ghost Subs on Monday. I am happy to say that for the money, the improvement is significant and completely worth it. Much better imaging... and the bass and mids are now actually there.
The install was pretty simple and straight forward once you get the seat rail caps off. It's even easier than the install video on the M4. Took me less than an hour for both. I highly recommend them if you want more from your HK system. I certainly did. |
