Heat effecting power noticeably - Normal?
I had the car out this weekend in 90-93 degree weather with high humidity and it just didn't feel normal, right, expected... I don't know what other words to attribute. The car just felt off. I did have two passengers in the car with me, I'd speculate a max of 270-280 lbs between them; 95% of the time I am driving the car solo, 5% of the time with just one passenger. This is the first time I had two others in the car for a decent drive.
Sunday mid afternoon I got on a highway in third around 60 and got on it - the car just didn't feel as quick as it has in the past and it was noticeable. The pull in gear just was not there. I drove it today with temps in the low 80's and it felt fine, so I'm thinking the heat has a lot to do with it. Maybe I'm also getting more used to the power in the car, but today it again brought me that smile I typically get when rolling into the throttle. Sunday it didn't.

Disregard, found a relevant thread/comment via
Seems the temp and humidity can indeed noticeably rob the car of power. I'm sure the extra passengers didn't help. That coupled with me really getting used to the car more and more now have me putting pennies away for the tune. Just hit 1 year from Munich delivery, so maybe this will be her US Delivery birthday gift...

The humidity here in NJ has been brutal lately and it's normal for performance to take a hit in hot temps. You could always go into sport + which will help with cooling however when think how much hot thick air the car is sucking in there isn't many ways around it.
On a side note, I have been annoyed driving with the A/C on, the RPMs drop so fast between gears it's a little jerky with the 6MT when cruising around especially until the car hit normal operating temp.

Two words. Heat soak. Was so much more noticeable when I was in Florida.
