M4 Comp Pack - Car Colour Choice
Hey guys
OK so i may very well be placing an oder on the above tomorrow (deal dependant). Now comes the issue of colour choice. I made a trip to my local dealer yesterday and they happened to have a Silverstone M4 out front, which coincidentally was one of my shortlist colours. Unfortunately in the metal and whilst nice, it didn't pop like i had hoped. I am now pondering individual colour options for a bit more. . . . .well individuality! I'm absolutely drawn to the lovely SMB as GT Sussex's lovely M3 but for some reason im also quite taken by Tanzanite Blue. Ive noted its relative lack of lustre on a dull day but in the correct light it looks absolutely stunning. I am also going for a relatively discreet look with it being my company car and not wanting to be too 'show off' looking. Does anyone know how long an individual colour adds to the delivery time? Im being quoted 1st Sept at the moment on standard colours. Wouldnt want to add a massive timescale to that. Also open to any other individual colour suggestions that are not too mental looking! Happy to hear owners views on the respective colours, maintenance of them for swirls, etc. Thanks in advance. Last edited by DazC; 05-31-2016 at 01:18 AM.. |

If I was going individual with a more discrete colour, I'd go for nardo grey. It's a lighter grey than MG, so will give better contrast to the CF roof. I have always really liked it though, when I've seen it in real life on an RS6 I thought it looked stunning
I didn't want to shell out for an individual colour, but if I did I'd get this on my F80 |

If you wanted a M3 Comp in SS, I could put you in touch with my dealer as I'm pulling out of the deal - you get £10k off list and it arrives next week.
Re colours, I think Grey-Black is discreet yet individual. It's the Porsche colour and darker than Nardo. |

To be honest I am not exactly sure. I think they had mentioned an additional 6 weeks for the Individual Colours however I think this would be slightly longer for the bespoke colours. Maybe someone else can confirm?

Is this Nardo? Judging by the price, it's not cheap...

Does YMB or SO not do it for you Daz? Incredible colours I think and very rare as M car only. For me I could never bring myself to pay extra for an Audi colour like Nardo, doesn't seem right.
I assume you have seen the large M3/4 colours sticky thread? If you use the use go to show stickies in the M3/4 photo thread and all real life individuals are there. For me I've gone SS as it had to be an M colour and it goes great with the beautiful SO full interior I'm getting. One quirky thing I thought of about YMB was that the colour in the seat belt stitching goes great from Congo pack. So much to consider, good luck, you'll be up all night reading that colours thread! PS guys car is an M3

I have trawled the photo thread at length! lol. YMB has been considered. I actually like it but wondering if it would wear on me over time with being so vibrant. Goes well with the Black accents of the comp pack. I had my mind made up on Silverstone and I may still end up with it but something about Tanzanite is drawing me in. I want to keep the car relatively understated looking, but with that pop when need be. I think SS and TB would fulfil that criteria. We'll see if the dealer makes the figures I'm looking for today and go from there. |

I've gone for Azurite black. Will be here at the beginning of Sept', it's like a deep inky black with flecks of blue metallic, subtle yet classy with a hint of something different I think...

Tanzanite is a great colour some of the time. I did consider it but after seeing it in the flesh on a non sunny day to me it just looks like a drab dark blue.
I still nearly went for it but I thought it would annoy me 75% of the time. Also a bit of a bugger for swirl marks as with any dark colour. I love my Laguna Seca Blue and would have loved that again but I'm not paying thousands extra for paint. |
