CA Highway 1 ////\/\ road trip

I want to get a highway 1 road trip going with some fellow M owners. The trip would start in Morro Bay, Ca and would journey up the 1 through Big Sur. We would leave early am from Morro Bay and make our way up to 17 Mile drive in pebble beach, Ca. Stopping wherever we choose along the way. I'm wanting to plan this trip for late July early August 2016. I'm coming from Santa Barbara so would probably book a hotel in Morro Bay so that I don't have to leave so early the morning of:-) If any of you are interested I think it would be sick to get a solid M line driving through one of the sickest roads on the planet! If you've never driven the 1 all the way up then definitely need to join! DM me your email if you're interested and we'll make it happen.

you need to drive CA1 very early otherwise you will be stuck behind lots of clueless tourists.

We catch it in morning it's not bad at all:-) I did it about a month ago on a Saturday morning, had a blast

It is a blast! Going up HWY 1 with a lineup of M cars and taking photos along the way is always a blast :P

Did this drive a couple months ago in our SUV when we stayed in Big Sur. Would have been a lot more fun in the M3...

I'm interested but I'm based in NorCal. Meeting up at Morro Bay would mean driving down toward SLO and then back up (somewhat backtracking). Will there be other meet up points toward H1/Big Sur?

Depending on timing I might be interested, I too am in NorCal but love driving down to Carmel/Monterey area but might be able to meet up further south.
