Has anybody had their dealer deactivate active sound?

First off, anybody with competition package had ASD switched off? And does it sound better in the cabin. I was thinking I might want to get this done to remove more engine droney sound and hear more exhaust.

I was asking my dealer if they could do this on delivery. So has anybody had their dealer do this for them?

I think most people turn active sound off either by coding or unplugging the amp unit in the boot - rather than pay dealer prices to get it done.

They said they'd just do it if they can when I come to pick the car up. Is there instructions somewhere for unplugging the amp?

i thought the drone would be from the resonators and exhaust. not the Engine.

being a turbo charged 3 ltr. it will sound like a diesel without some exhaust sound. in fact sometimes, i'm convinced it is a diesel lump sitting under there. leave your active sound plugged in, it's not all that offensive or part of the overall sound experience...

I agree the AS doesn't spoil anything for me and that's after having cars that sounded much much better than the S55, beyond 4k it sounds nice, stick your head out of the window and it is making the noise as well.

So what's the consensus on active sound?

I've only heard the car with it and not without so I have no reference. Maybe I should have bought a Zonda... 😄
