6MT shift knob: F8x vs F10 M5
I'm still waiting for my car to be built, so I apologize if the answer is obvious.
The F8x stock knob appears to be visually similar to the one in the F10 M5, which is based on the ZHP knob from the E46 days. Can anyone compare the 6MT knob in the F8x to the F10 M5 (or to the original ZHP version)? For a bit of background...the E9x M3 stock knob was rubbish...it had zero weight and felt like it was about 2 feet tall. This was literally the first thing I changed in my old car, and I'm hoping to find out if I need to source a knob before my car arrives.

I can't say whether or not the two knobs are identical, but having just switched out my OE knob, I was surprised by its heft. It wasn't a ball of lead, but it was far from what one would consider "zero weight"

Thanks! Thanks encouraging to hear.
What did you end up replacing the stock knob with?
