Ambient temperature sensor

My car battery was recently disconnected by the mechanic who replaced the valve cover gaskets and alternator bracket seal. Dunno if disconnecting the battery was necessary. After getting the car back I noticed my ambient temperature reading in the cluster is off. Tonight it is 73 degrees but the cluster was showing 89+.

Does anyone know if this is related to disconnecting the battery or how to fix this?
