Configurator / Dealer Discrepency

OK, I'm armed with a print out from the configurator (and have already advised my dealer about my desired options) and he has sent me a higher price, by £70. I can sort that out with him tomorrow.

However, I've also got the following:

RFLJ 1st Year Road Fund Licence Band J (186-200) £500.00
@XDEL Delivery £725.00
FUEL Fuel £60.00
FIRSTR Vehicle First Registration Fee £55.00

Do people generally pay for fuel, should I check how much they will provide?
And what about this delivery charge of £725?

I take it the RFL and registration fee are non negotiable, which is fair enough.

Kinda sucks on the fuel . Never had that problem. Always got a free full tank but I've bought loads of cars at my dealer. All the rest are normal.

So is the delivery. Afraid no way of getting round that.

That's fair enough, just a bit ignorant of these things.

Cheers

I was charged £50 for fuel 🙄, well that's what's on my order form etc. But I did make it clear that as I'm paying I want it to be SU Shell and I want the receipt 😂

I'm hoping you're using the configurator price as a starting point for negotiations! If he's come back more expensive than that, go elsewhere.

You should end up with somethings a fair bit lower when you've finished.

Well... I've returned from the dealer.

Positives:

I got a cup of coffee

Got a test drive

Negatives

Forgot to eat my biscuit
Didn't do a deal

Looks like I'll have to go further afield in my quest.

When I told the same guy/ dealership about some of the discounts forum members were quoted and deals to be had he laughed and said I shouldn't believe all I read on the Internet! And those discounts are simply not available.... It does make me wonder if a £70k personalised spec'd cp f8x can be had for less than £59,500 otr and that's only using 15% discount...

Actually saw my first M2 and the Competition Pack in the flesh today.

The M2 had a BMWP exhaust on it (apparently), didn't know you could even get them already.

Happy to pm people with details but basically showed them the TRL deal and said can you match. They did and I paid my deposit etc and will get the car in September.
