Disconnection of exhaust valve

Hi all. Not been on this forum for long so if it's been covered please ignore!

I have just disconnected the exhaust valves (I've left them permanently open) and what a difference it has made. It sounds like an old school straight 6 now and blips louder and more convincingly on down shifts. Only driven locally for 10 mins so not sure how I feel about leaving them open all the time but it really has made a huge improvement in my opinion.

All this talk of valves... I'm sure I've seen a schematic / diagram showing the F8x exhaust and how opening / closing valves changes the exhaust path. Anyone seen anything like this or am I dreaming?
