I'm wondering if they can just be peeled off using a heat gun and some care?

After the sticker came off, I cleaned the area with alcantara safe cleaner. Under certain lighting conditions, you can see a slight outline of where the sticker was but 95% of the time, all you see is a blank visor.

Here's some pictures. You can see that the passenger side shows a little bit of the outline but the driver's side is almost perfect.
However, I think this is a big improvement over the white and yellow sticker. |

So, to remove these with isopropyl alcohol, does one just dampen some cloth, or cotton balls, and hold it over the label, and then pick an edge with a finger nail to grab hold of it, and slowly peal it off? The alcohol doesn't damage the alcantara if it gets onto it?

Yes. You need to get the 100% isopropyl alcohol. I soaked a paper towel and put it on top of the sticker for 15 min. I covered it in a plastic bag to prevent drips and to keep the fluid concentrated (it evaporates quickly). Then I lifted up the corner. The passenger side came off almost in one piece while the driver's side required me to essentially tear off the sticker in little pieces. I then cleaned the visors with an alcantara safe cleaning fluid.
Ironically the driver side looked better probably because I had to rub it more. I didn't remove the visors because I couldn't figure out how to do this. If you do that, it will be even easier. Then you just have to vacuum up any pieces of sticker that fell and you are good to go. I let the car sit in the garage overnight with the windows and sunroof open to allow any fumes to exit the car. For my E92 M3, I bought the euro visors. This was much easier and allowed me to keep money in my pocket since the total cost was like $10 for isopropyl alcohol (which I have used for 3 cars). |

I used the Sonos brand alcantera cleaner because I have some for my 911 which has an alcantera wrapped steering wheel.
However, any gentle cleaning solution would be fine. In fact, just a damp cloth would probably work. |

did it :)
Thanks to the graet tips here I did remove the ugly warning labels as well. It was irritating me so much. mostly from the outisde view as I leave the visors open always.
Used "Sticker and DucktTae Removal" spray by well branded DenBraven chemical. sprayed on a little bit, but a lot in to the microfibre cloth and rubbed/peeled it away. perfect. 10min job for both sides |
