Any MPE/Aftermarket Exhausts on M3/4 near Derby

Hi guys,

Been asking around recently to see if anyone lives up near Derby who has the MPE or alternative exhaust system fitted that could kindly showcase it for me as I'm unsure which direction to go.

Got a few weeks (wk26) wait for my car so I'm getting bits lined up in advance

Cheers

save your money, I cant see the point on blowing £3K + for minimal power gains and a slightly better noise.

I would SERIOUSLY find a CP to listen to before deciding this. Sounds way different to the standard car. Wasn't until today at the garage an M4 Vert started next to me and the CP sounds far better - we were all a bit surprised at the difference. It doesn't have the outright volume of MPE or aftermarket but actually for me that's fine. I'm glad I gave the CP a chance and called off having MPE fitted at delivery. Will be spending that money either on suspension or power.

That's very interesting to hear! Is it really a decent improvement over the standard?

Hi mate. Have you got your valve controller yet or have you unplugged the fuses / removed the connector? It's way louder than with valves closed

Got one but not installed. Have mainly been driving in Sport + for blatting around (which means calves are open anyway or are you finding a difference?).

Discovered the joys of MDM today - bye bye TC. What have discovered is just how much grip those rears can generated once they've got some heat in them.

Might be a good idea to wait and see upon delivery before committing to anything then

I believe in sport + mode valves aren't always open. They only open under certain load conditions.

Valves permanently open through valve control or removing the cables to the actuators makes a significant difference

Yep, the valves close as you go through certain rev ranges, I unplugged the fuses last week and it make a big difference especially in the lower rev range.
