Silverstone a Interior - Help!
Guys I see loads of us have opted for SS interior. I think this looks best with the YMB, I'm pretty set on that exterior.
I wear jeans most of the time when not in the work suit trousers....and I have a 9 and 11 year old....and I jump in the car right after the gym etc etc. Tell me it's going to work out please? A little prep and aftercare? I will get blue dye transfer but it's all treatable!? Anyone here had their SS interior a few years yet and any comment please?

I had an issue during the very wet winter, this was what happened
I ordered some dye transfer removal products from a company called LTT, and this removed id say 95% of it. It's basically un noticeable now, although I know it's there so I automatically focus on it now. Anyways I've now treated all the leather surfaces with G-Techniq L1 and had no further issues since. After 10 months im happy with how the interior has held up, although it's definitely more work and worry than other colours. I'd go for YMB with amaro brown, have seen it on here and it is STUNNING! |

I use the BMW leather care product and it takes off EVERYTHING off to include the blue jeans dye transfer. Wipes right off.
But I also treated my SS seats and full leather dash/doors with CQuartz leather treatment. One bottle will do the entire car and it has UV protection built in. This youtube video says it all, they throw everything at the treated leather and it comes right off. FF a minute into the video for the test. Hope this helps.

Thinking the same about silverstone, I have had lots of light interiors but with Dakota leather. Seems that nicer leather is more prone to stains.
Wondering if I should just go black as it will be easier to maintain.

Well a lot of reading and umming and ahhinhg.
Radical change after speaking with the dealer now too. M3 CP 6MT SSII/SO No Changes locked and loaded! Colinv6 nice inspo from your car mate. SS interior a step too far for me when I look at my car use and general care.

I'm going with Gtechniq as well. Actually getting whole car done, inside and out.

I wear trousers/chino's most of the time for work but dark jeans at the weekends. Only 4 weeks in but no sign of any colour transfer. |

This is exactly why I purchased the interior protection plan 5 years for 400 bucks. Since its my car and not a lease I figured SOMETHING is going to happen to the SS leather. If it does I can just have them replace the seat.
