Color Help
So, tomorrow I'm placing an order for a 16' M4.
I like the Tanzanite Blue, what other blues are on the cheaper end of the Individual colors? I am only interested in blues around the "electric" spectrum so to speak. Azurite maybe? No soft blues. |

Wifey has capped my payment & down payment. It's kinda working out with the knee.. Upside down on my 15' M4... Of course. Sticker on 16' $83,095 (until he finds out tomorrow I want the ZCP) Can drop Full Leather, Adaptive Suspension & 19's... Add ZCP... Basically same MSRP. Doing ED, to help absorb some negative equity... So that drops it to $79,810... Negotiated from there to selling price of $73,755 I think that's a winning deal. Doing deposit/copy of Passports/license/insurance all that jazz tomorrow. |

Any of the good blues are going to cost you a $5k premium for a "full" individual paint. I had a LeMans Blue e92 and I loved that color. I would have loved to get my F80 in LMB or even San Merino but, like you, I could not justify $5k for paint. I opted for the "semi" individual option of Tanzanite. The color is simply amazing. It changes constantly with the lighting. I have seen the car go from almost black to a rediculously flaked blue. Be warned, however, that the paint will require good upkeep. I opted to have the entire car corrected and sealed with CQuartz to try and protect the finish.

I'll just stick with tanzanite then. Coming from a BSM... The upkeep then will be the same. |

Yep, you already know the pain (and joy). You won't regret it. One other thing is that my detailer told me that my paint was one of the best OEM finishes he has ever seen out of BMW. My car has very minimal orange peel too which really makes the car pop.

Did you get TB? I originally wanted it, too. That option was $1950. Ind SMB is $5k, "only" $3050 more...that's how I sold it to my hubby...lol! http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1031721&page=4 |

Estoril Blue (first version).
No one has done it on an F8x either. I had it 10 years on my 330i and always thought it was the best colour BMW made. It's a great colour in a rainy climate. Maintains good looks in grey weather. Would be curious to know what they charge for it. **one last note. I like SMB and any unique colour to my eye so much I'd opt dropping another option in order to get it. Drop DCT if that's on your build and get the colour you want. I'd take a full individual colour over full leather Last edited by Sassicaia; 06-01-2016 at 11:48 AM.. |

And that's a good way to sell it. Almost makes it a value purchase. |
