Individual Contrast Stitching Locations

I don't know if this has been listed before, but I thought someone might find it useful. The following info from a BMW Individual rep.

Here are the details on the location of the stitching when ordering Sakhir Orange contrasting stitching:

Following items with contrast stitching in Sakhir Orange:
Double lap seam on seat-backrest panel (only on front seats)
Double lap seam on seat side panel (only on back seats)
Double lap seam on headrests
Double lap seam on door inserts
Double lap seam on door armrest
Double lap seam on flap lid/armrest of center console

Upper dash board and capping of door trim:
Contrast stitching in Sakhir Orange:
Dash board around instrument cluster

Lower dash board:
Contrast stitching in Sakhir Orange:
Dashboard (black leather-covered range)
Glove box (black leather-covered range)

I got a quote for light blue stitching, but it seems likely that SO would cost the same. However, the cost is for black full leather with the stitching. It was $4,491 invoice, $4,936 MSRP, which makes the contrasting stitching add almost $2,300 to full leather. No idea if the cost would be the same for SS leather as the four stitching colors were all with black leather in the old press release. You can always ask and I'm sure they will give you some price similarly shocking when you first hear it!

Do you happen to have a picture of that light blue stitching? I'm curious how it would look with gold brown (know you're thinking black) ... I'm thinking of doing some custom stuff on my next order so starting to get some ideas going. thanks!

There is a thread here with a Lemans Blue M4 that looks to have the light blue stitching shown in a few pics. It is Le Mans Blue M4

One other image I have about the stitching is:

Hey!

I'd like to add to the OP's list:

_ * Center Console Tunnel. (When ordered in Leather)
_ * Center Console, Drivers' side (What they call) "Kneepad"
_ * Door Handles/Pulls.

Cheers!

Strange. I wonder if the contrast stitching location vary for some reasons, like leather color. I have Laguna Seca Blue contrast stitching with full black leather in my M3. (basically LSB stitching in the same places as the Z1XX lt. blue stitching) The door pulls and the driver's side kneepad both have black stitching.

Hey!

This is what you can get.

You get what you specify and are willing to pay (extra) for.

Cheers!

Touché! I misunderstood. You were talking about other areas that can be stitched beyond the "normal" areas. BMW Individual certainly does do many things different, cool, and interesting things. You just have to bring your wallet! There were a few other things I didn't add, but was tempted...
