Setting up a thread for those who have recent or upcoming build weeks, where we can chat, share progress, ask questions, express the spectrum of emotions along the way, and generally enjoy the experience of anticipating delivery of a new vehicle.

For reference, the timing for the progress of my M4 has been on target with the estimates as outlined in the thread linked above. My build was completed on 12/14/15, and is currently awaiting a ship assignment while in Bremerhaven, heading to the east coast.

Anyone else in 193 status in Bremerhaven now? Any ships assigned recently?

Right there with you! I'm going to the east coast and am waiting for a ship right now also. Arrived at port on the same day as your car.

Gonna call Genius in a few hours (want to wait till the end of the day in Germany) to hopefully see my car assigned a ship. UPDATE: Called BMW G and still status 193 waiting for boat.

I'm thinking it will hit my dealer around the weekend of Jan 8th.

I think it's hysterical that according to the BMW website my car order is till being processed but in actuality the car is done sitting at a port waiting for a boat.

Same here, coming through Baltimore and at the port in Germany since Tuesday, would think the next change in status may not be until Monday, according to the last conversation I had with the Genius. Would like to get it on a ship before the holiday so I can track it when I have some free time. If you can, share the status after you call today.

The week of January 8th would be fantastic, might be on the early side of the estimated timeline, as long as it doesn't go past the end of January, that works for me.

The website has the same status for me as well...order processing...someday they'll get to improving the website, I'm ok if they stay focused on making awesome vehicles!

I have a production number but can not find out where the build is at this time. Dealer said week 51 and when I check MYBMW it doesn't exist. Any help?

I haven't checked yet today, but I will a little later on after I finish a project. Fully expecting to be the same status though since it is only the 5th day in that status and the estimate from BMW was a week or two to get a spot on a boat. My dealer emailed me a status update, stating the same status, which was kind of them.

Saw this in another thread:

You must of just missed the boat since one left on Dec 8th. There's another W&W ship leaving on Dec 22 for the east coast - so I'd gather you'd be on that one (Glorious Leader).

So here to hopping for getting on the Glorious Leader!

At first I thought Dec 22nd was a long wait...then I realized that is Tuesday. Awesome, Glorious Leader is a great name for a ship!

I'm a bit concerned that my car is still status 182 instead of 193. I was told over a week ago that it was 182 which usually doesn't last longer than two or three days.

I was in 193 for 6 days, just found out I'm on the Independence II and left port 12/18. I'm assuming you called today, I hadn't checked since Friday. Going to check out some tracking information now to see where it is located.

BMWGuy11's sticky post on timing remains accurate for me, there is a two day lag for information on shipping, so you don't know the ship it is on until the boat has departed.

I've been status 193 since 12/17 waiting for west coast ship. I am hoping for a 12/26 ship if the info on the carrier links is correct.

Spoke to a rep last night who said a vessel assignment had still not been made for my M3. He recommended I call back today before they're off for the holiday Thursday & Friday.

That is frustrating to hear, hope they have something for your before the holiday break. Did you at least make it to 193 status?

Are you getting this info from BMW genius? What is your status number? Also, you wont know what ship your car is on or assigned to until 2 days after your car has already left port on a ship.

Did you check the ship schedules at the links provided by bmwguy11 in his tracking thread? I was able to figure out that there are three ships scheduled for west coast before the end of the year. My hope is that my car makes one of them since I have now been at status 193 for three days. We just need to be patient. Everyone has said this is the least predictable window and with the holidays, it is sure to be even less. Hopefully by next Monday you will get the pleasant surprise of learning that your car is on a ship heading to the states. Hang in there!
