order modification
Wondering what's the latest one can modify their existing order? This is not to change the build at the factory, but to add/remove accessories that are installed at VPC. thanks

thank you. very helpful. Next question is how are people tracking their build status? Is there a way to do so online? My BMW on bmwusa keeps giving me errors and the BMWNA folks say they are working to resolve the problem. Pain to call all the time. thanks

I am fairly certain you can add VPC installed items until shortly before it arrives at the VPC but I have never tried myself.

Good to know. I had a read a few posts here that stated that the dealer could contact the VPC directly to have PIA parts added so I thought it was possible.

They can't add them after production because VPC accessories are added to the sticker price of the car, which is printed and done at the factory. You can still get any of the accessories the VPC does at the dealer, you just cannot residualize them into your lease.

I'm sorry if this would be considered thread stealing but I just have to ask, could you do a big change for example you decide you want the carbon ceramic brakes after you get pre approved for the regular brakes, or would you have to re apply?

If you mean make changes, add CCB to your order, then you Can until status 112 which is when the car goes into production.

is that correct? Based on the 2nd post you can still make changes when you are in 112. however when car goes to 150 you cannot and 150 is when car goes into production. At 112, the car is only scheduled for production.

I asked my CA on timing for VPC accessories and he assured me they can be added even after production is complete and the car is on the ship over to the states. It cannot be added once the car arrives at the port, given how quickly it clears customs and goes to VPC, that there is high likelihood the order will not be updated. |

Yes. Changes can be made through and including 112. 150, No changes. And be aware that any change you make may result in your car being rescheduled. For example, parts that feed the options you change into may be on shortage, Adding individual options will certainly delay you.

Did this change recently? I have read many times that the stickers were printed at the VPC for normal US deliveries. If you google that you will see many references.

I can only tell you what I've seen others post and that once the car goes 150 they were unable to add any VPC installed accessories.

This is what my CA has told me as well, but be aware that there appears to be some type of supply issue with M parts to VPC at this time. My order finished production yesterday and my CA tells me that all he can add at this point for VPC install are the black kidney grills. Trying to sort it out with BMW NA.
