BPM vs ESS tune
I'm considering getting one of these tunes and looking for feedback from any owners that have either. I will be getting a tune plus ER catless downpipes.
Any feedback for BPM or ESS tune? |

Maybe I should have asked what full bench tune does everyone recommend? I'm leaning towards these two based on feedback from some board members. Obviously ESS has a long history tuning BMW also. I had evolve on my E60 but I don't believe they have a us dealer setup yet and I don't want to ship my ECUs over seas

I have the ESS tune.
Runs strong. Only complaint was they forgot to turn off the cold start.

So I should expect to have upgrade the transmission? Some have said they have no slippage with tune and others have had issues. Roughly what would that run for upgraded clutches?

Depends on how much you want to spend. You can buy just the clutches, or add several other upgrades. Best to check out the options available.

I have a BPM tune, and its awesome.
No issues... BTW after you go catless, get ready for the rattle from waste gate. Im use to it now, but its so damn annoying.

If you were to do it again would you get dps? I can tell you between the waste gate rattle and gas fumes I'm struggling to decide if I want them. It would also save me $2k-2.5k between hardware and install. The sound is unreal though! Tough decision but thanks for the feedback on the BPM tune

The rattle is annoying, but if you keep it in sports + it doesn't do it as bad, only when your coming to a stop you can hear it rattle til it closes. So to answer your question, Im not sure. thats my answer lol. sorry

You'll be extremely pleased with our tune and service if you decide to go with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM/Email/Call. If you are in the LA area, I'd be happy to take you for a spin in my Stage I M5.
