Looking for Track pads for Stoptech BBK

I have a stoptech bbk on my e92. 6 piston front 4 piston rear with 15" rotors in front. I am currently running Stoptech Street performance pads and looking for something with better braking and to clean up some of the brake deposits on the rotors and pads. Figured id give the track pads a shot. Anyone recommend something else i do daily the car and usually drive it hard.

PFC 11 is probably the best track pad available since the 01s, 06s, and 08s are no longer being made in the ST-60 shape, I believe. But if you want these pads purely for scrape purposes, Hawk DTC pads are much cheaper and much harder on rotors. Alternatively, I have 2 used sets of 08s that I could sell you if you want to discuss it over PM. I also have a brand new set of 06s, and a new and used set of Street Performance pads. At the track I ran PFC 08s in my front ST-60 and left the Street Performance pads in the rear. It may have accelerated my front pad wear, but it worked perfectly fine. On the road I used Street Performance on the front and rear. I swapped front pads a week before and a week after the track event for scraping purposes.

If you intend to use a set of track pads for street and track duty, PFC 11 is probably your best bet since they don't make much noise on the road.

How about the squeaking ?

Pagid RS19's are good a good option too. Endurance race pads with a good disposition when cold and they won't eat the finish off your rims.

How about the squeaking ?
The 08s only squeaked when braking moderately in the range of 25 MPH down, but in that range it's definitely nails on a chalkboard for any pedestrians near the stoplight you're pulling up to, and pretty loud in the cabin too when the windows are down. I haven't used the 11s personally yet, but I've read from multiple experienced users that they squeak less than the 08s. That said, any track pad is going to accelerate rotor wear on the street since cold track pads are very abrasive.

The Pagids are indeed good endurance alternatives (in fact the only endurance option now that the 08s are gone unless Ferodo DS1.11s are available, but they're very noisy on the street), but Pagids are much pickier about being bedded in properly before they'll perform, whereas PFCs are plug and play, which makes them good for people who swap pads IMHO.

If I'm looking correctly on the bimmerworld site, I only see the ST-60 pad in the PFC 01 and 03, not 11, am I mistaken? 7793 is supposed to be the code for ST-60. Also, $500 for an ST-60 PFC 01? Ouch.

Swartz - call Clark at Apex Performance for pads. Ask for the Rennlist price. I think the list you looked at is not up to date. PFC11 or Pagid RS29 are your two best options for StopTech 60, and Clark can ship you either one.

Part of me feels uneasy about using "cheap" and "brakes" in the same sentence.

StopTech makes them, so I wouldn't worry considering you have their BBK

Stoptech brake fluid is also cheaper. The specs are very similar to Motul except for 1 degree on the boiling point.

It's the same stuff. I'm willing to bet the Stoptech SR34s are rebadged PF01s.

Try the Stoptech SR-34 race pads like bigjae said. I switched from PFC on his recommendation and I love them!!!

Nice, I may have to try these when I'm done with my PFC 08's. Who has the best price on them?

Ferodo race pads with StopTech ST60s and 40s were amazing for me on my E92 335. I use Pagid orange on my E36 TT car and they both have the same progressive feel.

It's my understanding that there's really only a handful of true brake fluid blenders -- they're just privately labeling.

Makes sense. Probably same thing with pad material manufacturers.

Unfortunately, only a few places carry them. My last purchase was from Zeckhausen Racing. $363 fronts and $292 rears.
