I don't renew it since these days a lot of music streaming apps.
If you are on T-Mobile, you can stream from most app without using your data plan.
Unless if you are living in a remote area where no radio or cellular phone reception, then I would just wait for them to send the letter for discounted price.
Sometime they even turn it on for free just to lure you in back into the subscription.
Over the weekend, luckily, it was turned on for free, so I got a chance to use it during my road trip to Flagstaff, AZ. It was great since I still get reception even though I was driving through the hills where there are no cellular or radio reception.

I guess I'm one of the few that actually still likes having Sirius, probably since I haven't embranced the streaming services yet. My view will most likely change when that happens. From memory, I pay $170 or so per year, and added my gf's E82 for another $60 per year.

I called and told them about the $35 promotion and they offered me one that is close. Never pay asking price at renewal.

Try these:

for the past 5 years ive been paying $5 a month for all my cars. there are 2 methods to getting this deal:

1) call them and tell them you want to cancel, they will transfer you to their "cancellation team" where they will try to offer you a promotion, it might be $25 for 5 months or something similar. if they dont offer it to you, ask them if they have any promotions.

2) call them and tell them you received a notice about a $25 for 5 months promotion. they wont question it. if they say it doesnt exist anymore or give you some stupid excuse, hang up and try again...eventually you will get it.

like i said, ive been calling in every 5 months and paying $25 for 5 months for the past few YEARS on MULTIPLE cars. there's no point in ever paying full price for XM...honestly its starting to become annoying, playing the same songs over and over

I have a way to go before I need to renew but keep us posted. I'll be using every tactic possible when the time comes.

I've been paying for years... I do listen everyday, so I don't mind. Though the subscription is quite expensive.

As carzaddict stated, I, too, have been on the 5/$25 plan for over five years now. Up until this week, I didn't even have to threaten to cancel. Two weeks ago, my free subscription on the F15 was running out and I got them to add the car at the same rate.
Flash fwd to a couple days ago when my other car was up for renewal... I had to threaten to cancel before the best offer they could give me was 5/$30. I took it.

Very negotiable. Be firm. $70.00 per year is the target price

Mine expires tomorrow.
I just logged onto their website, entered the ESN, up popped a 6 month radio only "Select" plan for 29.94 + 4.16 US Music royalty fee =34.10.
That works, until I realize I haven't used it in a while, then I'll just call and cancel. That's when their "retention" department will knock off another 5 bucks to keep you a subscriber.

Thanks guys. I called Sirius Canada to activate my Jeep which once had it. They saw my activation on the F15 told me they had a "special offer" with fees and taxes for $110 / year. Told the guy that folks on the forum are getting the subscription for $29.95 for 6 months for all channels (including Howard). So they gave it to me! With fees and taxes it came out to $38.63.

Wow. Good to know re pricing.

Like you, I have stopped listening. The audio quality is unbearable, and am sure even worse on your B&O

I do the cancel and wait for the 5 months for $20 promo offer to come in my email, usually takes 2 days. I have been doing this for the last 8 years. I drive 400 miles a week, searching/changing stations is a pain, no smart phone for streaming so Sirius is the only way to go for me.
