Carbon fiber key fob housing?
Is there a vendor who makes a carbon fiber key fob case? I've seen some "skins", but i'm guessing they won't do.
I've seen the USB memory stick in the shape of a key fob. It's really nice looking with a ///m logo. |

IIRC ecs tuning sells a cf sleeve and a leather sleeve/
i know e9x keys are smaller than the f8x keys..wondering what the actual size difference is..and if it's enough to make a differnce is the leather of cf sleeves/pouches will fit OP...if you want a skin per say..you could alwaya do a cf vinyl wrap on your key as well..

Be careful, CF is conductive. That means if the case is actually CF it could attenuate and possibly block the Comfort Access signal from the key. It would be like wrapping your key in a little Faraday Cage.

I bought one of these and it looks great! It came with the key chain part too. The logo is blurred out because it has the BMW logo on it. Every time I go to BMW they are like what kind of BMW is this key to, it looks badass!? I got the mat black one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Remote-F...c5emkw&vxp=mtr

Why not wrap it?
I bought a roll of CF vinyl awhile back and wrapped it. Then used a xacto knife to cut out all the buttons and edges. I have the "simcarbon" vinyl and it's pretty matte. If you want a high gloss look there are others out there. Just use the pre-stretch method of prepping the vinyl and you're set! |

Not the best pics and this was literally the first thing I've ever wrapped. It's holding up well. I could've done a better job of pre-stretching the vinyl before application though. I'm pretty happy with it but wish it was a bit more glossy. What I like about it is that there is no added bulk to the fob.
Hell, if anyone's local and wants to give this a try, hit me up. I can just give you some vinyl to try yourself! |

Yep, it's only $39. I'm sure it's not the best quality. For those who don't know, this is a thumb drive that BMW sells.
