Black Kidney Grills

This seems foolish especially for a trivial amount of money but my build sheet on my car includes the following:

Accessories Z06 Black Kidney Grilles 450.00

My car does not have the Black Kidney Grilles and I pointed it out to the ED Specialist when I did my pickup for my car who stated that no M4 comes with M-performance parts for european delivery. Where exactly am I going to have this installed then? I would think that VPC would install them but nobody I am contacting seems to have a clue.

I'm doing a courtesy delivery to my home and my dealer is in another state. Suggestions?

It would probably be port installed or at the final delivery point (dealership).

It is a port installed accessory.

Be aware that if you are doing an ED, you can't have any M-Performance parts installed stateside at the VPC/POE. If you take delivery and drive the car in Europe, BMW won't do any VPC/POE installs of M-Perf Accessories. In other words, once you take delivery, your done. (...and BMW won't do M-Perf installs before an ED...)

If you want M-Performance parts installed before you take delivery, then you will have to do a PDC or normal dealer delivery. They will do stateside port installs in these cases.

However, you can get them installed at your dealer after delivery in any case...

^-- What he said. I have "black kidney grills" also on my car invoice, I did ED (no kidney grills as we said), and they will not be installed at VPC either. They are installed by the dealer at the dealership.

In any case, it's sort of irrelevant where they get installed as long as they are on your car at the time of delivery.

Personally, I sent an email to my CA reminding them that since the VPC will not install the black kidney grills, that they should have them on hand ready to install so that delivery is not delayed.
