I bent my 135i...need new hood. Help!
I got into a real minor fender bender and bent the very front edge of my hood just under the emblem. Luckily the car had no other damage. No reports filed. Really mad at myself...
Anyway...How hard is it to replace a hood? Any recommendations for cheapest way to source a replacement OEM hood? I've already hit up a few older FS posts for crimson red hoods around the Socal area.

Is the paint cracked? Maybe post a photo ? Perhaps a PDR(paintless dent repair) place can pop it out. ???
Or even a body shop miht be able to pull the dent out without replacing the hood. A new hood is about $500 for the part plus you got to paint it and install it and buy a new roundel. Probably a $800 repair. ?

I'm thinking my only hope is to source a painted hood second hand and bring the hood and my car to a shop who could make the swap. Anyone on here have a crimson red hood or know someone with a crimson red hood around the SoCal area? Is carbon fiber hood a good option, or more trouble than its worth? I'm worried it may look too ricer, but CF with crimson red may look petty good lol

I'm not a fan of those CF hood bc I have not seen one that fits right. A lot of them have a huge hood gap where the front of the hood meets the headlights front curvature of the hood.
I think you just need to go to a body shop and have your hood repaired. I bet it can be fixed for ~$300. IF you go with a used hood... you will need someone who can adjust it on your car. Sure it just bolts up.... but its kind f tricky to get a good flush factory fit. A dent doctor can perform miricles.... Body shops too can do a lot, before having to replace a hood...

dack, you were right. No need to replace the hood. I'm going outside of insurance and paying $800 cash to pull/fix fold and respray the hood. He said they'll take a look at the bumper and reseat if needed. Took the car to my dealer for an oil change and they gave it a clean bill of health.
