Has anyone been pulled over for painted front reflectors

Just wondering if anyone has actually been pulled over for having painted front reflectors. I ordered them from iND, not really worried about it, at the same time don't really want another reason to get pulled over.

I have never heard of this happening, its such a small thing that I would give props to a cop if he even noticed. Unless he is modder and notices these things because he does them himself, but in that case chances are he doesn't care one bit.

I wouldn't even worry about this the least bit.

On my E93 M3, I actually had the reflectors holes filled in and painted the entire bumper (basically a Euro bumper without having to buy a euro bumper) and never had a problem with it, not even when selling it to the dealer.

None of my customer nor I been pulled over for a painted reflector.
I never seen some car with missing side mirror or taillamp or headlamp being pulled over.

If so kudos to the cop. Never heard of anyone getting done for that.

But in a collision it might be a factor if extensively taken to court for things...

@Taran.J I don't think it matter. A reflector that small compare the size if the car, if you can't see it, that's mean something wrong with your eyes.
Like what just happened to me this morning driving my Odyssey to pick up the in-law, some dude with a bike decided to squeeze in between a bus and my van. Scratch the whole side of my minivan without feeling guilty.
Good thing it was bumper to bumper traffic and narrow lane, so he couldn't bail out.
I caught up with him and blocked him in the middle of traffic. I told him to at least apologize instead of damaging others property and just act like nothing happened.
Lucky for him that I have to be somewhere and it was a big traffic jam, otherwise I will have him pay for the damage.

Ditto on never hearing someone getting pulled over for that reason.

I do remember watching some old episode of COPS about side reflectors being "too low" out in CA?. Driver stanced his car and the cops came out with a tape measure to check the distance off the ground. I can't remember what they did next. The cops was just stopping a group of tuners (ricers?) for whatever reason.

Really I think installing headlights that pretty much blind everyone should be pulled over. A reflector? Gimme a break.

Never would happen. If cops started enforcing DOT requirements, they would spend the next few year inspecting all those coffee can exhaust Japanese cars. Nitpicking over painted reflectors wouldn't even make the list

I'm pretty sure that you won't be pulled over just for that. But, if you are pulled over and you give lip I'm pretty sure they will look for every little thing to tag you on
