(Is there a better forum for this post?)
I have a new X5 and would like to get a recommendation on a place for front door window tint and possibly clear bra. I live in Gaithersburg. I'm hoping the folks here are picky like me. tia, Evan |

Congrats on the new ride. While quite a distance from you, I would recommend S&J window Tinting in Cherry Hill, NJ. They did Suntek cxp, computer cut, on my fronts for $99 and offered me $800 to do Suntek ppf clear bra, which included 30" hood, full front bumper, lights, mirrors, door cups, 1/4 fender. He said because the paint was not requiring much prep cause car was brand new, he could do that price. Might be worth the drive. |

I got my front windows done at aptinting.com. They are located in Sykesville and are one of a few that can install formula 1 pinnacle tint. They also do clear bra's, wraps, etc.

They tinted my Mustang GT to perfection. Also did what was called "stone ground" edge on door glass. Instead of cutting off a little tint and leaving right below window edge, he ground it right to edge. You can't even see the tint on the window, it simply looks like the glass came tinted. |

All American Paint Protection, Xpel
For clear bra, I'd recommend All American Paint Protection in Rockville, MD. Authorized jnstaller of Xpel Ultimate, I spoke with Brett who priced a package $1995 for full hood, front bumper, fenders, free headlight wraps, door cups too.

I found them to be very professional and responsive to my emails. To top it all off when I was there they were working on a full body wrap for a McLaren, which I thought was very cool and it was looking phenomenal. Apparently they also have experience with commercial and residential window tinting to reduce energy costs, for example. I'll post again after I get it back later this evening. Evan |

Unless I showed you where a couple of film edges are on the side you'd never know. I had the full hood and bumper covered. I'll post a couple pictures when I'm home and have my Nikon. Thanks for the referral. Evan |
