Black Chrome Spray Paint

Anyone here try this product with good results? My plan was to use this on my X5 trunk emblem.

Never tried that one, but Rustoleum makes good products. You planning to do your tips?

No the trunk "X5" emblem... I'm wondering if I should go chrome black or gloss black or Matte Black on my Space Grey.

I've used the DUPLI-COLOR Shadow paint. I prefer that one.

You can try plasti dip.
Matte black. Or black with glossifier. You can test out the combos before you commit

Cheap. Looks good. No need to remove emblems

i'd use plasti-dip, which allows you to peel it off if you want.

I thought about plasti-dip but it leaves a texture that I don't like.
Are there different types of dip with different types of textures? i've only seen one type and the texture is rough and not smooth.

No, never tried it but have seen them on exterior parts on couple of friends cars. I know its easy to remove but the texture of the dip is not smooth and or glossy.

Glossifier makes it glossy. Since your total investment will be $20, i would try plastic dip first to see if you like matte or glossy. When you've made up your mind, peel off and use the permanent stuff

Plastidip glosifier it not that glossy.
I tried it and play with it.
What annoys me most is it catches dust and dirt.
When you try to wipe it with towel, it catches on the textures.

Did it to the X5's roof antenna. Glossifer also makes it spotty. I can dip real well it comes out smooth but glossier spat it out like blotches

Ben, What do you have for me with the black X5 Emblem? Anything in your store?

My suggestion, get a new set of the chrome emblem, then paint and replace the old one.
That way, if things happen, you don't ruin your car.

Matte black would look good but it looks better without any of those badges. Not sure why BMW has gone crazy with the number of badges it places on their vehicles

Kzang when i was debating back and forth... i just thought of the uniformity factor. The double slat grill i have in front is gloss.... that made my decision for how to approach the rear.
