If you don't have a production number then there is no allocation and you have no order.

does the dealer not have an allocation? you need to make sure you get a production number if they have an allocation. without one you technically have no car.

I called the dealer and they advised submitted my credit applications to BMWFS. Waiting for approval. Once approved then will submit my order.

That makes no sense. You can order the car and they can get you their allocation and provide a production number without having approval from BMW FS for financing. What if you decide to use your own financing? Is the dealer trying to say that they can't sell you a car if you're using your own financing?

It sounds like the dealership is playing games.

I had my allocation and production number within hours of putting down a deposit. I never even filled out a credit app until later as I hadn't decided on finance/lease options yet.

so dealer received the approval from BMWFS, i told them hold the order...
i'm having another thought of other cars now, i drove the maserati ghibli s q4 over the weekend, i might go with that...
i have another car in mind, the lexus RC-F.
