Item Interest
Just putting some feelers out there. I have a 2003 z4 3.0 with 55k miles on it and I'm looking to get around 12,000 for it. I have a couple of aftermarket items and could work out a deal to include them if interested..

1) M steering wheel
2) AFE intake
3) M short, weighted shift knob
4) currently has brand new run flats on the stock rims but also have a set of VMR 710's on the car already with non-run flat Pirelli tires.

I will post pictures shortly if there is any interest at all. I'm located in Quakertown, PA and am not interested in shipping or anything so local sale only..

thanks,
Mike

So there was no interest at all and I'm going against my word and posting pictures anyways:

Guess I'll just keep it Plans were to upgrade to a sdrive35i. Wish there was a nice turbo kit available but nooooo...

If you are keeping your 3.0i, you can give it a nice boost with one of these:

Thanks for reminding me to update my thread to include trunk-mounted methanol injection, more boost / smaller pulley, and TTFS dyno tune

LOL, I figure techno10 can still keep his E85 if all he wants is some extra power. No point in spending all that money on a E89 if a E85 with your mods is still a ton faster

Yeah absolutely.. this was my initial plan/goal buying the z4 (rather than boosting a 4 cylinder Miata or something). Trust me right now I'm on the fence on what to do.. The only thing is I can say that a e89 has a few other upgrades as well over a e85. I own a 2011 335 xdrive and I really like the turbo setup on it so I was sort of leaning towards just picking up a e89 rather than put more money into my current z4. I think a properly modded e89 had more long term potential with the turbo setup over the e85 with the supercharger (that's honestly just my opinion too).. I really like the torque of the e89 as well (300 versus around 250 for a SC e85). With a good tune you are looking at 300ish RWHP and torque.

I like the folding top on the e89 (yes more weight but overall I'm leaning towards the folding hardtop). I like the factory HIDs in the e89. I replaced the bulbs and they are still very dim at night (Don't want to install some half assed aftermarket solution with no auto leveling, etc). Kinda looking at the e89 for DCT and launch control (again, this is just my opinion others might still prefer the manual option).

So right now I'm just seeing what my options are but really it seems like the e89 "upgrade" isn't an possibility. I might have to stick with the e85 (first world problems, hah).

thanks,
Mike

Was in the same boat as you. the dct maintenance scared me away. My 535 is even a little pricy with maintenance injectors etc. I ended up just getting an m.
