3M Tape Residue

I've noticed some dry streams of a hardened, clear substance that has ran down the back of my trunk onto my bumper. It has happened on both sides of the trunk and appears to be coming from under a carbon fiber performance spoiler I have installed.

When I installed the spoiler, I used red 3M double sided tape to adhere (which sticks great) however it seems like the glue has almost melted and is now dried on the trunk and bumper.

Question is: Has anyone used Auto Finesse Oblitarate to combat and safely remove something like this? Any comparable? Better?

the oblitarate should work perfectly

the double sided tape is a pain in the ass. be patient with it.
