Quick and dirty painted reflector install
Got my reflectors from IND. Nicely packaged in a scrap of microfiber and bubble wrap. They appear to be nicely prepped, and the finish is clear with no dust or bubbles.
Stuff you'll need: -8mm nut driver (DeWalt optional) -grease/adhesive remover (maybe) -shop rag -Yeti Colster - a must to keep your beer cold in the Florida heat |

Turn the wheel all the way to one side, opposite the side you are working on. Remove 3 8mm bolts securing the fender liner and yank that sucker away from the fender.

Wrap a shop cloth around the back of your hand to prevent the plastic liner from chewing you up. Learned this the hard way. A screwdriver may be helpful, but I didn't need it. Simply press around the perimeter of the reflector, and when you find a spot that gives, hunker down and press it through with your thumbs. Man up and let that thing have it.

^Per above pic, find an edge of the adhesive from the original reflector and just roll it up around the inside edge of the hole. Mine came off clean, so no need for any cleaner afterward.

If you get one, just know that on Amazon, the seller actually marks them up. I got mine at Ace Hardware. |
