Best CF mirror cover / cap source?

It seems like the AutoTeknic ones are the best price from a semi-reputable brand, but the product itself is unclear. Is it like the M-performance one, which replaces the existing cover, or is it simply a stick on cover that goes over the existing mirror cap like some of the shitty ebay ones? It appears to be the former, but I have not seen anyone with them installed or pictures of the back side to have confidence in ordering them. Why is it so much cheaper, too?

Anyone?

I got my BMW OEM ones for $575 (for the pair) from BMW of Morristown on Ebay best offer. I had reps on my last car... never again. They looked like total shit after a year in the sun.

Good point. I do recall seeing some nasty ones that were UV damaged before.

Will look for good deals on the OEM ones. Just made an offer on a set from the same place.

Can't beat OEM! A lot of reps either have poor carbon quality or terrible fitment...

Out of curiosity... why didn't you just buy them? Is it much cheaper to do it this way?

without getting a spare, you're looking around $350.00 I wasn't looking at he most cost effective way but wanted more involvement in choosing pattern, type of epoxy, and etc..

We are trying to install the autotecknic caps right now..for the price I wanted to give them a shot. The cf finish is great, but the fitment is giving us fits. It's just off enough to make what should a very easy install frustrating, requiring a little inside plastic trimming

Well they aren't going to install. The inside corner mold seems to be off no matter what we do and even if It would clip in, the gap would be bad. Ive reached out to my vendor for guidance. The oem literally clipped back in within 5 seconds and a coupla snaps. I didn't expect oem quality, buy i at least expected them to mount..we shall see.

Update...they sent me a new set of AT caps...these fit some better at least..I give fit and finish a B overall. For under $300 I can live with them for awhile, but definitely paying for What you over all get overall.
